WiseBread Contest Entry: Making Extra Money

WiseBread is running a contest for innovative money making ideas, and while I’ll gladly donate the $10 winnings to charity, I thought I’d submit a recent idea I found.

JustAnswer.com is an answer site where experts get paid for their answers.  I was skeptical at first, but I found the site delivered on its promise to deliver real experts and not just college students you see on the free answer sites.  Turns out, there’s something to be said for paying for your answers.

What I learned from the person/expert who answered my Mac/iPhone question, was that he typically makes $50/day.   Sadly, the site doesn’t have “personal finance” as a category [yet], but there are 11 main categories including pets, cars, tax, computers and homework.

To become an expert, you take a short quiz and off you go.  A nice way for you to “moonlight” from your computer and a perfect income stream for retirees and stay at home parents.    One person posted on twitter that the quiz was pretty easy….so it’s worth a look.

For the record: I don’t have any revenue relationship with Just Answer.
