The VISA Buxx card will not impact your credit score because it is not a credit card, but instead, it’s a pre-paid card marketed towards teens. It has some great features including allowing parents to reload the card balance from their checking account, check card, or credit cards. For teens who want “practice” with credit cards, this is a fine place to start. I like the idea of using pre-paid cards and debit cards to teach teens responsible credit habits.
