There are many “free” sites out there – over 200 – but this is the government sanctioned site where you can get 1 free report from each of the 3 credit bureaus every year. But, be warned, scores cost extra! This review walks through the user experience.
Hi!! I had closed down couple of credit cards in May; and this month, July, I applied for an AmExpress credit of different sort (already have one with AmExpress), but I was rejected. I wanted to know if the closing down of my credit cards had impacted my record negatively?

Hard to tell without looking at your whole credit record. Closing down accounts can hurt you. Did they state a reason for the decline? Find this out first. Not much you can do about those closeed accounts now. No way to reopen them.
